Observation details
Continuing birds found by ILPO and MEHA on the mudflats on May 20. Initially picked up in flight with WHIM as they headed towards and eventually landed 150 m up the Deltaport Jetty from the base (49.0479010, -123.1280055). Dainty godwits, smaller than WHIM with clean underwings. They preened up on the shore for 15 mins before picking up and relocated in the freshly tilled field just east of 34th (49.0574508, -123.1295588). One bright alternate bird and two drabber (but no less beautiful) are in videos and photos.
