Observation details
Female-type plumage. Brown teal-like bird with distinctly blocky and boldly marked head. White supercilium, dark eyeline trailing behind eye. Eye brown with a hint of dark red. Bill all dark. Upper wings gray with white leading and trailing edge to speculum, which was darker bluish than remainder of wing. Underwing with dark leading edge and dark wedge on trailing edge. Whitish belly. Face pattern far too bold for female green-winged teal. Flushed from northern Seawall Pond into eastern side of Clam Lagoon.
