Observation details
*Frustrating; likely an adult Neotropic Cormorant. Initially noted a small cormorant roosting in the closest rookery to 104th Street that appeared to be roughly half the size of surrounding Double-created Cormorants with a proportionally longer tail. It also appeared to have feathered lores and a pointed gular border when viewed through my scope. Unfortunately, it was too backlit/distant to be totally sure, and it quickly flew and never reappeared. Poor digiscoped photos.
