Observation details
Nearly all brown pelicans spotted were traveling South to North, nearly all were flying above the beach (exceptions noted). A group of 10, a group of 17, a massive group came by, with 4 separate groups and 2 individuals outside of a V, with each group having respectively 22,40,6, and 26 starting from lead group to last group. The front two groups starting merging when they were getting out of view, a group of 26, a group of 4, a group of 8, a group of 28 with 1 straggling behind, group of 4, a group of 9. Varying belly colors, some being white, some being muddy brown, and variations in between. When the lead pelican flaps, the other pelicans flap in sequential order starting from the front.
