Media notes
I call these "Whistle-Chur" Pieplow used the terms: "Peer" and "Breet" with their song being made up of "Breet"s. Birds were in top of pines while vocalizing, though their flight calls seem to be these same phrases. Sounds like expected Type 1 vocalizations. Only processing is applying a 300Hz High Pass Filter and then normalizing to -3db in Audacity
Observation details
Flew in and landed In pines across the street. Distinctive whistle/chur vocalization. Recorded. I would call these birds Infrequent, not Rare
