Observation details
Known breeding locality, first discovered in May of 1995. 1st bird singing dry rapid trill, on territory, southwest of Thatcher’s Pinnacles, about 1/2-way down slope. Not seen, but moving around and singing from different locations just out of sight. Second bird clearly territorial singing, to northwest of Thatcher’s Pinnacles, downslope, about 1/4-way up from the bottom. Possibly a second bird with the second male giving harsh chip notes. Thought we also heard two birds singing simultaneously right there, once, but definitely additional harsh chip notes simultaneous to the singing male that was moving around us.
