Observation details
As always when counting this species and adding the data to ebird, I am told that this is a high count! In the case of this school environment, as explained in the comments, this number is due to the amount of food being offered to the animals in the zoo, be that the seed offered to the birds in the very large aviary; an aviary that contains macaws of three different species, peacocks, a Peruvian Thickknee (!) and Peacocks. They also have a number of both male and female Cock of the Rocks, orange form with seed offered again, greedily taken by seedeaters such as Bananaquits, Blue-black Grassquits and Croaking Ground Doves! The large tortoises are offered maize and seed - down come the doves! The Spectacled Bears, two of them have food enducing the doves to enter their cages. You get the idea. There are a lot of Croaking Ground Doves!
