Observation details
*Continuing. Found this morning by Cody and co. Photos and recording. After a brief absence, heard singing at 4:40 and then seen along river trail around here: (41.3343850, -72.9098788). It flew across the path from the swampy area into a tree along the river edge. There were six birders who heard it singing right in front of us but we couldn't get an eye on it. It sang again and we finally found it, sitting still on branch. It stayed in the same spot for at least 10 minutes and though heavily obscured we could see it preening and occasionally singing. I was able to see it close its eyes multiple times, even once while it was singing! An incredible experience with this bird and worth the wait!
