Observation details
First seen and Photo at 10:23 by the meat market, sitting on light, "Waiting for food". At 10:30 the market opened, and somebody threw out the meat scraps. The bird launched itself from the pole and captured the meat. Its talons are worn and dull, but well suited for walking on asphalt. It ate some and then carried a piece of meat to the building behind the Popeyes. It captured some more meat and flew up onto a light. At one time it flew to a wooden palate quite close to me. Last photo taken at 10:54 and we watched it after that, before it flew West toward the Eucs. Beautiful bird. Regrettably my shutter speed was slow for action shots. Overcast and cool this morning.
