Observation details
Ruby-throated Hummingbird. Viewed by three of us at close range for perhaps 5-10s, but couldn't get camera focused before it flew. When angled slightly away from us, it gave a strong resemblance to a Black-chinned Hummingbird with a bright green back and black face and throat. However, when it turned its head slightly toward me as well as when it flew, its throat was bright red with a slight orange tint and no sign of purple (Black-chinned) or rose (Broad-tailed). A second unidentified hummingbird (photo attached) was either a juvenile or female Rufous or Calliope.
