Observation details
Initially seen down on the ground, which seemed strange. Then I realized it was gathering nesting material, which is even stranger since Blackburnians have never been known to nest in Chester County, as far as I know. Light level was very low, so the photos were taken at a very high ISO and are very grainy. After looking at the photos, I began to think this could be a Yellow-throated Warbler and put a couple of them out on the Pennsylvania discord server for ID help. The consensus was that this was a Blackburnian Warbler. Pretty exciting find and nice to have it happen in an atlas year.
