Observation details

found up right past the water tower, similar spot to where alex b saw previous years. photos and sound recordings attached, was hopping on branches and singing. song similar to scarlet but no raspy cut off down notes. recording sounds like song 1 on merlin for summer tanager, same melody and similar repeating pattern, song length longer than typical scarlet song and lacks raspy notes. bird itself was solid red, male, no dark black wing.
