Observation details
First, a single bird flyover. Later a flock of 8 landed in the yard red pines. They landed in the oldest, largest red pine that they fed in previously but now there were 4 red squirrels in the crown (young red squirrels are everywhere now). The crossbills decided to move to other nearby pines where they fed. A few young birds were with them. The first 4 segments of the included recording is of this flock of 8. Later, a flock of 18 seen flying to the SW...last segment in the recording. Lastly, another single bird flyover to the west. Total of 28 RECR of multiple types. The perched calls are either type 1 or unkinked type 2. Type 4's were with them.
