Observation details
Beautiful slate grayish/brownish cuckoo with warm Buffy underside. Prominent black mask going from its black on top and slightly yellow on bottom, thick curved bill through the eye. No rufous on wings. Seen between here (25.5366113, -80.3255398) and here (25.5344992, -80.3240849). Very quite. I only stopped to observe a PRWA that had caught my attention. First MACU flew in to feed with the PRWA (have a pic of it eating a caterpillar) and as I was filming it, a second one flew over my head and landed on the north side of the trail. I lifer for me and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve dipped on this bird so many times. But not this time. Pics to follow.
