Observation details
FOUR, not three, chicks. Full-sized with just a few white downy white feathers left. April 12th, I photoed the female peregrine at the nest box. April 29th, was first sighting of chicks there. April 30th has better photos: https://ebird.org/checklist/S171103448 These chicks are noticeably older than downtown Richmond’s brood. https://dwr.virginia.gov/falcon-cam/ In 2020, Center for Conservation Biology reported 32 territories in Virginia occupied by Peregrines. https://ccbbirds.org/2020/10/06/2020-another-good-production-year-for-virginia-peregrines/
