Media notes
The chick appears to have fledged as it was later seen flying east to another tree.
Observation details
The remaining chick was in the nest tree when I arrived, awaiting feeding. I didn't see the parents this morning. As I was leaving, I saw the chick fly east over the roof of the Entomology building towards some trees and assume it is officially fledged. Last year's chick first flew over to the SEEP trail with mom watching but returned to the nest tree several times over the following week.
