Observation details
Merlin picked up as gray cheeked thrush right at the same time I heard a distant call that sounded about right. Will see if I can get a spectrogram that matches otherwise spp it is. Update: I was able to listen to the recording and it was spot on for gray cheeked thrush though faint. But now getting an error message when I try to reopen the recording :-( second bird heard only about 10 min later and another about 20 min later. These may have been an alternate veery call (descending veeer). I am including one recording of the descending call, one of these mystery birds (and happy to move to passerine spp. if Catharus is not conclusive)
