Observation details
Found by Milton Collins on Spermaceti Cove sandbar before I arrived. Smaller, less bulky, darker and more warmly toned Pluvialis plover among Black-bellied Plovers from which it immediately stood out, age unknown but in some degree of partial alternate plumage with limited black on underparts appearing restricted to breast/belly (not into undertail coverts), overall structure though including long wing projection looked fine for American vs other golden-plovers and low contrast grayish underwings/wingpits were eventually seen well further eliminating European; truly awful handheld digiscoped video
