Preening in lilac bush
Observation details
2M, red/purple throat patched evident. 2 female/immature male. Visiting feeder. All arguing over territory. Would sit in lilac bush and rush others who came to feeder. Decided Calliope based on lack of rufous coloring in back feathers plus face/throat mottling patterns, and limited red wash on sides.
