Observation details
****rare. Bright adult female seen at (32.5470992, -107.9228462) around 9:15am, at the southernmost end of the mimbres on the property (through a carabinered gate). Viewed from the Katfish Kove side of the barbed wire fence. Seen very briefly, maybe 20 seconds total (first spotted briefly from further, then managed to rush forward for another view and shots). It was low in a small cottonwood, seemingly coming down for a drink at a spot many birds were going to. Medium, chunky warbler with bold wing bars on dark wings with bay flanks going up to messy face. Sadly EFG only despite a 40 minute vigil hoping it came back to the water, although may’ve briefly come back toward the end
