Two "jip" calls can been seen (and barely heard) on the spectrogram at ~1.5 sec and ~2.5 seconds, showing one trough and one peak about 700 kHz in amplitude, followed by one downward line that terminates at 2600 kHz.
Observation details
Larger, longer-winged and larger-headed than House Finch. First picked up their constant “jip jip jip” flight calls but wasn’t quick enough for a photo. As I fumbled around, I managed a poor recording of two “jip” calls as the flock continued north.
