Observation details
Continuing rarity in the field adjacent to the playground . A notch smaller than the CAGOs; similar to Greater White-fronted Goose but overall darker and with pink legs. Interesting dynamic. The goose flock was concentrated in a narrow snow-free strip along the treelline, with more and more groups coming in. Shortly after getting a visual on the bird, the entire flock was flushed by a dog, with birds going in every direction. It appeared all the birds had cleared out, when I heard an unfamiliar honking call. Looked up to see the Pink-footed come back to circle the field then fly off again…enough time for me to get a short audio recording.
