Observation details

Landed on pond-like part of river. Floated and turned in partial circle. Saw us watching and left. Red neck.white belly. Patterning in wings. Shorebird. Size of spotted sandpiper. Photos flying away (Red-necked Phalaropes seen again at the same location the following day, see photos at https://ebird.org/checklist/S175824546 ).
