Media notes
Individual foraging and singing. Other avian species fairly clearly heard in this recording: Common Raven, Eastern Phoebe, Indigo Bunting, Red-breasted Nuthatch. Also heard: Wind, frogs, gasoline powered car or truck. The one second of silence at approximately :06 removed a little more than 9 seconds of noise by the observer walking closer to the bird. That first segment probably should have been omitted altogether. From :07 and afterwards, the recordist was closer, but the bird was still 50 to 100 feet in a tree above. The .182 second silence at approximately :58.6 was placed there in lieu of an auditory (handling?) blip that otherwise would have skewed the normalization. Time has not been altered and no bird vocalizations were removed.
