Observation details
I asked Jeff Katen to review these photos for possible Semipalmated Sandpiper and White-Rumped Sandpiper and these are his comments: "Photo 1: I believe the lighter bird in the back is semipalmated. Photo 2: Of the six visible birds, I think the 3rd bird (counting from left to right) may be a white-rumped. Note black legs, longer appearance, wing tips that stick out slightly past the tail. The bird behind the white-rump's head I think is a semipalmated. Photo 3: I think the bird near the center of the photo is semipalmated. Photo 4: zoomed in version of photo 2, I do think the wingtips sticking out is a good hint on the white-rumped. Photo 8: I believe the leftmost bird is semipalmated since it looks very light overall compared to the least sandpipers. In the rest of the photos, I think it's mostly least sandpipers. I can't find the white-rumped besides probably photo 2 and 4." Thank you, Jeff!
