buzzy calls of male bird, perched
Observation details
Continuing adult male. All blue with darker wings, pics to be added. Seemed to be paired with a female Lazuli Bunting, it would follow the Lazuli back and forth across the road, they would perch nearby each other or feed close to each other (within 1-2 feet). The female Lazuli also kept returning to one spot in the tall grass near the roadside so may have a nest/nest site there. The Indigo Bunting also did fly up to several high perches and sing. Bird stayed mostly around this area here (33.6570646, -117.4480929), on the road from Blue Jay to Falcon after passing the open grass field on your left, this is the first big bend to the left in the road where there is a little pull-off on the right side. Often was feeding with the Lazuli bunting in the oak trees on the north side of the road right after the road curves left. Flew back and forth across the road several times. Perched and sang from the largest dead tree on south side of road and also surrounding tall pines by it.
