Observation details
🍺🍺🍺 First alerted to it by the clear "quick, three beers" song - saw it up on dead snag as expected, and also flew right by our heads. Perfect habitat here for it. Large, dark vested contopus flycatcher with heavy beak and proportionally short tail. It was later seen very well up on the dead tree as it sang, caught flies and fought off several other birds including a Purple Martin. Pics and audio attached.
