Observation details
Edit: the perspective doesn't make sense for the "black wing feather" to actually be a feather, it is probably a stick in the background. Moved back to shorb sp. **Went through all of my photos of this individual and found a few that show what looks to be the tail of the individual in question without obstruction from the LESP, and to also show that the feather is likely not just a piece of debris in the background (see differentiation in bubbles). If the photo quality is still too bad (or if this field mark is not enough to call the ID over WESP), I will revert the marking back to shorb sp. Lanky body Bird looks to be in a transitioning state of plumage (mostly pale/grey, with a hint of brown) Supercilium is notably bold and white Streaks on breast Black legs Bill black and droopy, not straight enough for BASP Unfortunately, photo quality not good enough to pick up on any red on lower mandible And no I never saw the rump :((((((( Bird is bigger than the LESP beside it (note the perspective; LESP is on the log, while WRSP is not) There was also a light WRSP fallout across the state this weekend (Montgomery, Rockingham, and Gloucester)
