Observation details
Solved yesterday's mystery - singing bird would have likely been an aberrant Blackcap, and this bird was gone today. However, we finally got to have a better look at yesterday's weird bird (from which we believed the unknown song came) and confirmed our suspicions that it was a flycatcher type bird, likely with some leucism. It turned out to be a really odd looking and leucitic Euro Pied Flycatcher - a crazy looking bird that we finally managed to get photos of. Likely 2CY male - some moult and and a lot of leucism evident with almost entirely white face! Finally closure of our mystery and able to document this rare form of leucism in this species.
