Observation details
Very rare, fantastic find by Bill DeLuca, in perfect breeding habitat and it seemed to be checking out nest holes on occasion. Singing quite a bit although it is an odd, atypical song for the species, only my second county record with my first twenty years ago, one of just a few records in the last decades. It moves around a fair amount but sings a lot and can be heard even when far away. No need to use playback to coax him in closer...just use some patience and you will reap the reward, photos and recordings.
