Observation details
Around the picnic area. This bird was singing regularly but faintly and had me thinking likely Bicknell’s because the initial vocalizations all had a rising note at the end of the song. Later I was able to get good views and decent photos. It looks pretty cold gray without any noticeable brownish or rusty tint. I was also able to hear some additional singing which sounds and looks like a traditional Gray-cheeked, so I think that maybe some of the earlier vocalizations were just incomplete songs.
