Observation details
One singing a very unusual song from top of Sycamore tree. I will upload the recording. I have heard Yellow warblers mimic other warblers before ( Common yellowthroat) but this didn't really remind me of any other warbler, maybe Yellow throated? Starts high and descends, can be heard around the 5 second mark of the recording. *Update* There is a recording on ebird for Northern Yellow warbler that this does sounds similar too, but that one finishes with a typical yellow warbler song. I imagine that there are dozens of variations that can be heard in the wild that no one has ever recorded. Not every single bird of every species is going to behave exactly as a field guide will tell you. Rambling over.
