Wow! While walking the south section below the cliff in between the emergency road and river here 33.53221° N, 101.69399° W larger Geothlypis, staying 1-2 feet off the ground in the thickest understory that Lubbock has to offer. I did get great looks but just couldn't get a shot off in time. Unmarked olive above, bright yellow below. Yellow spectacles, with dark auricular - black from below eye through cheek and below around chin. I got a tail photo and that’s it before it bolted. Refound for 1-2 seconds before it bolted off again and I lost it for good.
