Observation details
I don't know where to begin. I returned home from a long birding trip around the neighborhood and was going to relax when I finally see the multiple texts from folks asking me if I can find a 'turkey on the Island.' Expectedly I ran outside again with my mother to find the bird. After nearly 30 minutes and sundown creeping we finally relocated the bird this time in a private courtyard - a big bird that stands out like a sore thumb in a mowed lawn. Was completely fearless of people however it was very uncomfortable when a unleashed dog popped up from the apartment complex (Not the dog walker's fault- who would expect a turkey in their courtyard). The bird then eventually flew up to a plant tree nearby for where it probably stays till this very moment. I will check tomorrow for it. Pretty Good patch bird and supposedly the Midtown turkey from last month
