Observation details
Robin-sized bird with orange underside, throat, head stripes, and wing markings. Distinctive black eye mask and chest stripe, and duller gray-ish back. - first spotted running in the grass along the edge of the Wascana Creek Park bike path, stopping every few seconds to look at observer - flew to nearby patch of trees, where it appeared to dig through leaf-litter with its beak - nearby group of foraging American Robins did not appear hostile when this individual joined them in this area - observer did not notice any specific vocalizations during encounter with the individual
