Observation details
Lots of breeding codes are applicable whilst watching these birds. Only seen initially due to adult distraction display because of feral cat hunting in long grass. 1 adult mobbed the cat, which I eventually chased away. 2nd adult then seen emerging from grass on riverbank with fecal sack. Adults then began feeding along riverbank in long grass. Viewed from gravel path to avoid unnecessary disturbance. Pictures to be added.
