Observation details
Discovered last night by James Zuelow. Singing. Noticed some things a little different about it so still doing some research. Very prominent white crescent below eye. Very small and faint yellow spot on top of head. Not sure but a smaller incomplete black throat patch? It was singing frequently and sounded exactly like a yellow-rumped warbler (which was a bit confusing). 5-17-24 Update Originally posted as BTGW and changed to a BTGW x YRWA hybrid after it was confirmed by additional reviewers. Perhaps the first (and possibly only?) known BTGW hybrid with a Myrtle YRWA. See Gus van Vliets's checklist from May 13th, 2024 (CHECKLIST S174293663) .
