Observation details
Robust medium-large shorebird. Just a bit larger than Lesser Yellowlegs, but heavier bodied. Light brown head and neck, pale on chin and foreneck, short darker line behind eye. Upperparts also light brown, many scapulars had dark centers and pale fringes, resuling in a somewhat scaly back. Rectrices darker brown than body feathers. Breast pale with dusky mottling. Belly and vent white. White "U" on rump visible on in-flight bird. Primaries in resting bird extended to tail tip. Bill black, slightly decurved, and about the same length as the head. Dark eye. Legs similar in lenght to LEYE and dull yellow-green color. Found earlier by Peter Mundale and follow-up ID by Ezra Hosch
