Followed Audubon and ABA guidelines for ethical photography. Remained at a distance from nest, concealed by a natural blind of trees and brush. Lens at 500mm or 750mm with camera shutter set to quiet. Photos are also heavily cropped.
Observation details
One adult and 2 chicks in nest at start of list. I've been away and not had a good look at chicks for nearly a week. They are getting feathers! Second adult observed delivering food; it let out a single brief call as it neared nest. Adult departed nest almost immediately, with more calling, then circled back to tree and landed on a branch near nest. It remained there preening for the remainder of list, 10+ minutes.
