Observation details
This is a bird we would see in June, July and August. It would come to catch a fish or two, sit on a branch that extended over the water, and eat the first fish. The second fish, he would take off with it. I have often wondered if this was the same kingfisher that we would sometimes spot at Whitesands Beach near the hamlet of Plamondon. As the crow flies, it would of been quite a bit of a distance to fly over the lake to get to where we lived next door to Ulliac Beach on the Old Trail Rd. (now a new subdivision, and a paved rd).
