Observation details
First heard singing in the cottonwoods while driving. High pitched faint song. It sounded more like a CMWA while spectrogram looked busier like a BAWW. Spent over an hour following the singing and calling bird along the large cottonwood verge. Finally the bird showed itself. Adult male: bold distinctive black and white stripes all over with a black throat and cheek. The warbler worked the trunk and limbs like a nuthatch or creeper hunting for insects.
