Observation details
First bird heard singing from the larger tangle and brush pile below the ranger house. Briefly seen by us and Matthew Bowling climbing over the brush in the grasses slightly further down the trail. Audio recorded. Jacob then spotted a male at 36.057000,-86.796435 near the intersection of the lake trail and paved path toward the east lot in the brushy section near the swampy inlet. Avery spotted a female at the same time in the same bush. Both birds could be seen moving within the bush intermittently with the male giving an abbreviated song. The male finally climbed out onto a log and Andrew got photos. The last bird was first heard by Avery singing above eye level in a bushy maple and presumably feeding on cicadas near bench 11. The Baskaufs and our group was able to get on it briefly and I got poor photos. Last seen flying toward grassy point.
