Observation details
Another great find by Joachim and Sean! They found the bird on logs on the beach next to the river mouth early this morning. However, things were looking bleak as the bird had not been sighted since despite multiple birders searching....but then....at about 12:45....I was thrilled to relocate the bird in the Queesto construction area a few hundred metres up the river's west side. I spotted the bird from the east side of the river (near where the Green-tailed Towhee was last fall) so views were distant and often obstructed. The bird was foraging on the ground but repeatedly flew up and perched atop the logs and dirt mounds, allowing for clearer views.
