Observation details
Heard and saw (1); in back yard trees looking for insects; heard a second responding to its insistent chirp-chirp-chirp-chirps (approx 15-20 second intervals). Merlin Sound ID unable to detect audio or suggest a possible step-by-step ID match, or a photo match, so Crossley book reference to the rescue. Solid bright yellow head & throat, gray black wings, white under tail, long sharp beak & very black eye. Audio & pic to upload.
