Observation details
Walking along the driveway heading south we noticed a kettle of 6 Turkey Vultures heading northeast. In with the vultures was a buteo about the size of a Red-tail Hawk. A close look with our binoculars revealed the telltale underwing pattern of a Swainson's Hawk! Dark remiges with light-colored underwing coverts. The wings were long and narrow.
