Red Crossbills are calling from perches atop a live Douglas Fir with lots of cones above Onion Saddle. Possibly Type 2, but I’m not sure about these alarm-type calls… Background includes: Western Tanager, Spotted Towhee, Dusky-capped Flycatcher, Plumbeous Vireo, Band-tailed Pigeon, White-breasted Nuthatch. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
