Observation details
Continuing Mark Brown find from this a.m.’s ICBC warbler walk, same location, just off trail (41.66929, -91.51219). Small yellow warbler with black hood and throat, singing weeta-weeta-weeTEEyoo from upper understory when I arrived, then dropped down low to forage and flycatch, often very cooperative and singing on and off the whole time. Active, but stuck to a relatively small patch. Spent about fifteen min just leaning and looking on my own, then Brandon Caswell arrived, and we watched for another short but memorable spell. About as easy and good of a look at a hoody as I’ve seen!
