Observation details
The population of Baya birds has declined considerably in the number of its nests in the last 10 years. This is because due to the expansion of guide dams on Ganga-Kosi and other rivers, the spread of river water has shrunk. Important plants like Kas, Kasal grow in the river basin and these plants are used to make their nests. Now these are seen in very few places.
