Observation details
2 raptors circling over fields just prior to Winchester Train Station. A couple of blurry shots of one of the birds taken from the very fast train - checking the common raptors in the county, only 2 really looked like possible matches - Red Kite or Common Buzzard. Reviewing the bird guide shows that some buzzards can have very pale bodies - this along with the flat/slightly raised wing angle and no visible fork in the tail points more to buzzards. Will be happy if any raptor experts can confirm or correct this sighting! From Australia so not really familiar with most British non Falcon raptors except the Osprey/Black Kite which this doesn't look like.
