Observation details
Continuing, impressive find by Steve G. yesterday. Heard the bird calling after only a few minutes in the woods; I initially mistook it for a Least Flycatcher since it was only giving the first two syllables of the call! It sang and called several times over the next two and a half hours, although there were long periods of silence in between the periods of singing. I also got a few nice looks at the all-red tanager, and other birders managed some photos. It was seen here (40.0932381, -75.4536020) a few times, although it was moving around quite a bit. How nice to see and hear an adult male in PA! Unfortunately, there are weird crackling sounds in most of the recordings that I took, but I got one clear-ish recording of the bird singing here.
